Working at Height Regulations Training
The Working at Height Regulations mandate that only competent individuals are allowed to work at height. While eliminating the risk of falling is preferable, it is not always feasible. Therefore, if there remains a foreseeable risk of falling, measures must be taken to minimize the distance or consequences of a fall. This often involves the use of a harness and lanyard system. This course aims to equip participants with the skills and competency needed to perform pre-use inspections of the equipment, ensuring correct fitment and safe use of various harnesses and lanyards.

- Legal obligations, including duties under the Working at Height Regulations 2005
- Fall arrest systems
- Work restraint systems
- Work positioning systems
- Harness inspection and inspection recording
- Harness anchorage standards
- General care and maintenance of equipment
- Correct fitment and adjustment
- Rescue procedures
- Theoretical knowledge appraisal
- Practical appraisal of candidates fitting a selection of harnesses
