Site Shunter

If you require existing staff to move large goods vehicles on-site but do not currently hold an LGV/HGV driver's license, you will need to train them as 'Site Shunters'. This training course can be customiSed to fit your operation, regardless of the vehicle type, including rigid, articulated, left-hand drive, or right-hand drive.

Course Content:

• Health and Safety at Work Act obligations and other relevant legal requirements
• Vehicle and equipment safety checks
• Manoeuvring vehicles in both open and confined spaces
• Forward and backward manoeuvring
• Coupling/uncoupling procedures for articulated combinations
• Safe working practices
• Safety film viewing
• Theoretical content and testing
• Practical skills testing and course feedback

Course Duration: The course length depends on the type of vehicle, participants' prior experience, operation complexity, and the number of candidates. The maximum ratio is three candidates per course. Please contact us for further details.

Course Venue: The course is conducted at your premises and is fully accredited.
