Category D is the full passenger-carrying vehicle licence used by professional bus and coach drivers. It covers eligible vehicles carrying more than eight passengers.
Kent Training provides complete licence-acquisition packages for individual candidates and transport operators, covering medicals, provisional entitlement, theory tests, practical training, DVSA tests and Driver CPC where required.

The Bronze package includes 24 hours of on-road training delivered over a four-day course using a two-to-one model.
Candidates applying for provisional Category D entitlement normally need a D4 medical and a D2 application. Silver and Gold include this support.
Candidates normally need the Module 1A multiple-choice test and Module 1B hazard-perception test before completing the practical licence process.
Gold includes Initial Driver CPC Modules 2 and 4. This is commonly required when driving a bus or coach professionally.
The packages include Module 3A off-road manoeuvre training and testing, followed by the Module 3B on-road practical test.
