Typical duration is up to five days for a novice course, approximately 2.5 hours for an Experienced Worker Test (EWT) and one day for a refresher course. The correct route depends on the candidate's experience and current operating competence.
It depends on the registration route. The NPORS/CSCS Red Trained Operator Card is valid for two years while the operator works towards the relevant NVQ/SVQ. The NPORS/CSCS Blue Competent Operator Card is valid for five years. Traditional NPORS registrations are separate from the construction-card route.
Yes. Kent Training can deliver NPORS Telehandler training at customer premises using the employer's own suitable equipment, subject to site and machine requirements.
Delegates should wear suitable PPE including safety boots, high-visibility clothing and any other site-specific protective equipment advised before the course.
The course covers the relevant category of telehandler. Your instructor will explain any limitations and any additional familiarisation or training required for different machines, boom configurations or attachments.
Successful candidates are registered through the appropriate NPORS route. For construction, eligible new entrants without the relevant NVQ/SVQ can follow the NPORS/CSCS Red Trained Operator Card route. Candidates using the machine outside construction may use the NPORS Traditional registration route.

No separate CSCS classroom course is required for the NPORS/CSCS Trained Operator route. New entrants undertake the normal NPORS training and testing, and must also satisfy the Health, Safety & Environment touchscreen-test requirement.
No. The package covers the CITB HS&E test fee, booking service and NPORS/CSCS pathway administration. Card issue remains subject to passing the appropriate HS&E test, passing the NPORS assessment and meeting NPORS registration requirements.
Kent Training books the CITB HS&E test on your behalf, but the test is taken at an external authorised test centre. Kent Training is not CITB.
